In this episode, @micahmargieson talks about his evolution as a surfer, from growing up on the Gold Coast with his dad Brendan “Margo” Margieson, to finding his own approach to surfboards, style, and mindset. Micah shared what it was like growing up with his dad, and how that helped him stay grounded during his junior comp years. We also got into his surfboard sponsorship journey, starting with STCY, then moving through Chilli, Sharp Eye, Album, Arakawa, and eventually landing on JS, with specific mention of the Golden Child surfboard. He breaks down what worked, what didn’t, and how trying different designs and fin set ups has shaped his surfing. We also talked about how he trains and how he keeps his flow.
