Check out the podcast videos below along with some of our favorite tips from each episode.

"I don't really plan too far ahead on a wave, I just spontaneously do it. Sometimes on a bottom turn, I don't even look up to see what's going to go on in the next section. I just assume and I think that's why I love surfing so much. Everything just happens right there and then in a split second. I think when I surf long point breaks and stuff, I get rattled when I look too far ahead of me to see what the wave's going to do 'cause I'd rather not plan. I'd rather just let it happen spontaneously and I feel like that's when I do my best surfing. When I don't have time to think about it, I just let it happen."

Brenden Margieson

“A lot of surfing is generally just holding and releasing where do you hold and where do you release the energy. You're surfing against something that was created way out in the middle of the ocean and it's coming towards the shoreline whether you are going to ride it or not”

- Matt Pagan

“It's got to be over a hundred boards at this point. I feel a hundred percent tied to as much as somebody would feel tied to a kid or a pet or I shouldn't equate any of those things because they're each a different thing.

Look at how many surfers that go off tour and the second they go off tour, what are they riding? They're at the peak of their career and they want to mix it up and try something new. You can have fun riding the same board every day, but sometimes you want to mix it up and try something different.”

- Board Porn

“Is there value in maybe just bypassing one surfboard purchase and linking with a surf coach or a surf coaching program and actually putting some emphasis on their surfing? It feels really nice to walk out of a surf shop with a brand new board, it feels awesome. But it frustrates me when I see some of these people and their surfing's maybe not where it could be. I don't want to say they're problems, but I don't think they're the key to their success either.”
